Is tomorrow just a future yesterday?

future yesterday

When you are on the mundane slide of mediocrity, you find that there are more days in your life and less life in your days. Your average mindset makes you ignore the gift of dawn and sets you up for a struggle through to dusk on a daily basis. You end up focusing too much on stability and prevent yourselves from expanding your perception. This machine like monotony impairs progress and limits you to the cycle of cluelessness.

Your unalaterable makes you lead an inspiration-less selfish life, where you accept all the pleasures of existence but offer nothing in return. It is most convenient to live through this lethargic loop of life, too scared to dream, too lazy to change but too eager to enjoy.

What is tomorrow but a future yesterday if you slide through life like this, without adding any value to your lives and your surroundings, If you are not motivated by the first ray of a new sun.If your passionate pursuits don’t motivate you to sacrifice comforts and your will to contribute don’t make you embark on an ever improving journey.

You add the extra to the ordinary

You might perform routine tasks as part of work, but that shouldn’t prevent you from improving the way you go about it  everyday. The simplicity of a task shouldn’t define the finesse with which you bring it to completion. Everything is ordinary until you add the extra sprinkle of your magic to it. What defines you and the quality of your life is not the complexity of what you do, but your approach towards it.

future yesterday

Its better to have a mesmeric method to life. Approach every task you do in such a way that you redefine the way it is done by adding your own spark to it. This will set you on the path of perpetual self improvement by blessing you with an inextinguishable desire to enhancing yourself with every attempt at every task, big or small.

You are more likely to get bored with things and enter a shell of stability if you refrain from altering your perspective towards whatever you do.

A stable life, home for horses, halt for men

future yesterday

The shell of stability is a comfortable evil. It prevents growth by setting a stable limit to it. You sell your soul, your dreams, your aspirations to the idea of stability which manipulates all your decisions making you both selfish and restrained. You choose to repeat each day in the most mundane way, focusing little on the art in your work and more on just getting things done so as to get you closer to stability.

You shouldn’t curb yourself by the mirage of stability, moreover your lives should be an endless pursuit of an exceptional dream which makes you go beyond your perceived limits every day, even every moment. The magnitude of magnificence of your dreams should be such that its pursuit is more pleasurable than painful. Your spirit should emit a glowing desire to galvanize itself into perpetual action for the fulfillment of your aspirations. A spirit which serves as a guiding light to others seeking inspiration. Then and only then will you be able to rid yourself from the shackles of stability and lead a life of constant improvement.

Selflessness activates selfishness inhibits

If you seek selfish gains you are more than likely to be shackled by the shell of stability. As a result you will always keep an eye on the prize and  make decisions based on fear. This would hamper your chances of gaining stability, relegating you further into the doom and gloom of despair. But life, my friend, begins on the other side of despair. Realign your intentions, from taking to giving. By doing this you will empower yourself to think beyond selfish stability.

When you intend to work towards improving yourself to assist others and giving back to the cosmos, you will have an undying appetite for knowledge and a saintly confidence. This will enable you to think and act without fear, thereby expressing yourself fully, paving the way for success.

You will always get the better deal in a Cosmotic barter

future yesterday

Every plant educates us about the reciprocity of the cosmos. Plants selflessly provide air, food and shelter to the cosmos and in return are granted an abundance of essential vitality.

Life is not meant to be wasted in chasing selfish stability, it is to be celebrated by enhancing yourself to serve others till the end of time. You should always aim at making tomorrow a better yesterday, as every tomorrow brings with it new opportunities to learn and to return. If you intend to work towards making the world a better place, you will see providence move in your favor. For every genuine step you take in the selfless direction, the cosmos will take two towards making all your dreams come true.

Everyone great is famous but not everyone famous is great

In this age of viral videos, overnight stardom has become a reality. The presence of a parallel “digital” universe permits faster and wider broadcast of remote events and information. Hence fame is not limited to celebrities anymore, everyone can be a celebrity now. Coverage of unique events from previously unheard places has lead to more “small town heroes” than ever before, paving the way for a generation which is smitten by the fame bug.

The global digital conscious has laid a platform for quicker and convenient representation and sharing of perspectives. Consequently more people are buying into the idea of popularity. The need to be noticed and admired might make you desperate to pout like trouts, imitate celebs like apes, undertake irrational objectives and indulge in acute cynicism, without realizing that fame comes as a celebration of an achievement and is not an achievement in itself.

The fame you see

famous

More than two thirds of the popular people you notice are too misguided themselves to be followed. Their empty fame envelopes a valueless, selfish and greedy lifestyle which they try their best to hide.

These famous personalities are enacting projected personalities to increase their imprint on a directionless audience. They deceive people with their fake identities and lead others towards doing the same just for the sake of petty profits. There are still others with inherited fame, making a mockery of the legacy that they were born with and preventing actual talent from blossoming.

Understand the difference between these shampoo sellers and the actual heroes. Don’t be blinded by the glamorous projections of fame, most of it is magnified to allure you. The hollowness of empty fame is conveyed by what happens to these people when they burst their hollow bubbles. They land up with a broken personality, a broken family and a broken bottle of their favorite drug.

famous

These people are famous but not great. Greatness comes not only from the ability to inspire people but by taking up the responsibility to inspire people towards the right direction. Greatness comes from adding to the beauty of the world and working towards its progression rather than making the most of persuasion techniques to misguide people.

There is greatness within each one of you, but it’s up to you to decide whether you give in to your limiting beliefs, make a mockery of your talents by chasing fame or align your awesomeness to make this world a better place for yourself and everyone around you. Remember everyone great is famous but not everyone famous is great.

Chase Greatness rather than Fame

famous

Although the odds of becoming an instant hit have improved because of the parallel digital universe, but that doesn’t warrant alienic behaviour just for the sake of temporary admiration. You can either use it to be ridiculous and mystify or be responsible and inspire. When you take the more difficult path towards greatness you automatically improve your chances of being famous. It might take time but greatness guarantees fame.

Fame is the consequence of achieving something great, but this lazy generation wants to skip the hard work and be an instant hit among people. Actual greatness commands you to possess integrity, dedication and selflessness and not merely put on a show for a brief period of time. Greatness commands you to be credible, to lead by example and think of global progression.

Merely being born in a wealthy household or possessing influential friends shouldn’t make you famous, you have to earn your fame by walking the path towards greatness, and even after you have attained your glory, you should be willing to walk on that path forever.

famous

Empty fame wont be as gratifying as the feeling of actually giving greatness your best shot and letting the universe decide whether you deserve fame or not. More often than not, your genuine endeavors would be noticed and celebrated.

Cartoon cartoons – 6 characters who have shaped our thought

While you were being reprimanded for wasting your young years watching cartoons, you actually learned more important lessons than what the books could ever teach you.

Contrary to cramming irrelevant poems and byzantine formulas, cartoons were something you accepted wholeheartedly. The more natural acceptance(free will) resulted in cartoons making a greater impression on your sub conscious.

The sub conscious absorbs much more than the conscious mind. It is like a database of knowledge which accumulates over the ages, this fuels your intuition and molds your true personalities.

You are most open to ideas when young, your logic doesn’t get in your way of learning new things and acquiring new traits. With age you shield yourself, hence you learn fewer things. Hence it is ideal to fill the database of your sub conscious while resistance hasn’t polluted it.

The brilliant people who created cartoons knew this while creating characters. These characters, who we all came to adore, not only entertained you but kept you coming back for more. They taught you many subliminal life skills, which you weren’t able to comprehend then, but might understand now:

1. Scooby Doo– The friendly dog taught us the importance of silence in friendship. All you need to do is listen attentively and you make good friends. Most of you listen with the intention to speak and put your own point forward, this impairs proper understanding.

You are better off staying absolutely quiet, the speaker knows the answer to his own situation, and all he needs at most times is to empty out the problems from his system to make space for the solution.

Cartoon

2. Dexter– The little geek taught us how to focus in adverse situations. Dexter was able to find solutions while constantly being bullied by his effervescent sister(distraction). He helped us understand the importance of creativity and impressed upon us the idea of approaching education with a practical mindset.

3. Popeye– He helped us understand the importance of eating healthy and not backing down to challenges. Although he was out sized by Bluto, yet he had the heart of standing for what he believed in against the bad guy. He gave us the strength and belief to face challenges and stand up for the what we think is correct. The spinach loving sailor never missed a chance to help strangers and was was always on the lookout for the entire community.

Cartoon

4. Jerry– Its not about the size of the rat in the fight, its about the size of fight in the rat. Jerry’s struggle for survival pitted him against the cunning cat, Tom. He showed us how simplicity outwits all schemes and how the universe favors the ones with a clear and big heart. The series also indicated that an honest enemy is more valuable than a dishonest friend.

Cartoon2

5. Courage– The cowardly dog was triggered into action every time his family were in need. He might have been an ordinary dog but extraordinary events sparked the extraordinary in him. He showed us how we can galvanize ourselves beyond the obvious to face obstacles. Rather than being afraid and running away you should run towards your problems.

Cartoon

6.  Bugs bunny– Other than helping you understand the importance of humor, bugs also told you to be like a mirror. To avoid conflict as much as you can but to repay fire with fire when the need arises. The carrot chewing bunny never initiated a situation but he indicated that its better to fight back than to struggle. His matchless free spirit and spontaneity are exemplary and somethings that everyone should follow.

Cartoon

But this was way back in the nineties, before the cartoons became super aggressive, super mechanical and super commercial. I was lucky to witness the most amazing cartoons while growing up. These free spirits not only offer respite in torrid times but also nurture free thinking.

Have a Good Day.

Nessun Dorma- An oblation to St Valentines

Amidst modern day facades we see multiple renditions of love. Valentines day or rather Violentines day is a battle between bemused lovers overdoing expression and confused societies overdoing suppression. Both purposes satiate single day egos and the world continues to rotate as it always has.

Valentine

When desperation boils over and people seek their lost inner peace in the outside world, words like Love lose their significance. Its a severe struggle to rediscover whats within in the place you will least find it, outside. As the modern generations subjugate Love to the realms of ludicrousity, it becomes impossible to find its real meaning in a world tending towards meaninglessness.

Making art your valentine

Nessun dorma (English: “None shall sleep”)is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini’s opera Turandot.

It is one of the best-known tenor arias in all opera. It is sung by Calaf, il principe ignoto (the unknown prince), who falls in love at first sight with the beautiful but cold Princess Turandot. However, any man who wishes to wed Turandot must first answer her three riddles; if he fails, he will be beheaded.Even after correctly guessing the three riddles Princess Turandot recoils at the prospective of marrying him.

Calaf puts in another wager and says if the princess can guess his name by the morning she can execute him otherwise she will have to marry him, The cruel and emotionally cold princess then decrees that none of her subjects shall sleep that night until his name is discovered. If they fail, all will be killed. The song comes after this when Calaf is alone at the moonlit palace gardens

It reminds us of how love can be both delightful and defeating.

It has been performed by the great opeartic Luciano Pavarotti. The intensity in his eyes exudes both passion and satisfaction. The same resonates with his voice conveying his assiduity to the art. Even in a different language the intent conveys the emotions.

The track has been certified gold by the federation of Italian music industry. This version gained global recognition when it was used in the television coverage of the 1990 FIfa soccer world cup in Italy.

As modern day baboons chase girls with baloons,

This stück of art reminds us of the bitter sweet tragedies of the heart.

“Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma! Tu pure, o Principessa, nella tua fredda stanza, guardi le stelle che tremano d’amore, e di speranza!”

(English translation: “None shall sleep! None shall sleep! Even you, O Princess, in your cold bedroom, watch the stars that tremble with love and with hope!”)
“Ma il mio mistero è chiuso in me; il nome mio nessun saprà! No, No! Sulla tua bocca lo dirò quando la luce splenderà!”
(“But my secret is hidden within me; none will know my name! No, no! On your mouth I will say it when the light shines!”)
“Ed il mio bacio scioglierà il silenzio che ti fa mia!”
(“And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine!”)

Just before the climactic end of the aria, a chorus of women is heard singing in the distance:

“Il nome suo nessun saprà, E noi dovrem, ahimè, morir, morir!”
(“No one will know his name, and we will have to, alas, die, die!”)
Calaf, now certain of victory, sings:
“Dilegua, o notte! Tramontate, stelle! Tramontate, stelle! All’alba vincerò! Vincerò! Vincerò!”
(“Vanish, o night! Fade, you stars! Fade, you stars! At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win! “)

With the wish that people celebrate Love where it exists rather than seeking it where it does not, I wish everyone a happy Valentines day.

Sachin Tendulkar- The glint in the eyes, divulges the champion inside

I was just checking some old slam books, the ones we used to get filled by our friends before Facebook. I saw this one from grade 6th where most of my friends filled the ambition section with” I want to be Sachin Tendulkar”. This made me delay my chamomile tea induced sleep plans and do justice to the master himself on the eve of his final test.

Who are we, if not measured by our impact on others? That’s who we are! We’re not who we say we are, we’re not who we want to be — we are the sum of the influence and impact that we have, in our lives, on others.

Carrying the hopes of a nation through two and a half decades of poverty, corruption, terrorist attacks, natural calamities. Embalming distraught and misery stricken minds by redefining the way a game is played. Inspiring a generation to channelize their energies and being the perfect role model, leading to the development of the current set of world beaters in the India cricket team. The perfect gift to all of us this Children’s day is to see this deity name Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, who inspired us throughout our childhood, share his genius for one last time.

The journey, the numbers, the achievements will all be talked about but what this Man did by instilling hope into peoples mind and changing their lives cannot be talked about enough. The mere news of Tendulkar scoring a century made us heal from accidents, forget bad results at school, overlook the tough day at work and sleep with a smile on our faces. The sincere demeanor coupled with the effortless flamboyance will surely leave its mark on everyone who knows cricket.

Sachin’s name will echo across the cricket fraternity for eternity. The 10 cricketers playing along with him tomorrow will vouch for it. Each player in the current team was inspired by Sachin at a point in his life, forget the gamesmanship, by the mentality. Sachin’s passion, dedication, responsibility and humbleness towards cricket and his country are perfect examples to help all of us achieve our own goals.

Sachin is the kind of personalities, who make people forget geographical boundaries and just admire his ingenious. I can imagine the confused bewilderment Australian fans found themselves in when the Sachin storm hit them in Sharjah. The same feeling will be shared by all of the countries he has played against.

“Try to pay homage to Sachin by doing whatever you do with the same dedication and passion that this legend displayed in playing for his country.”
