“One can be instructed in society, one is inspired only in solitude.”

“One can be instructed in society, one is inspired only in solitude.”

It is only wen one rids himself of all worldly logic that he nears a state conducive to creation. Creativity has its origins in the soul so the heart and mind only have a supportive role in its being.  The sanctity of the soul is a reflection of the serenity of your surroundings.

Dwelling in the cradle of the Himalayas, one cant help but be mesmerized by their aesthetic magnanimity and marvel  at their mythical magnificence.  The eternal peace reflected in every calming gust and the purity in every trickle of pristine water cascades through to the virtuous residents.

Where better to be than the land of Gods? What better to do than to gape endlessly at the brilliant landscape which surrounds you? The environment endows its inhabitants with contentment, enough to last them for 10 lifetimes. It inspires people to embrace solitude and the solitude inspires them to innovate forming an infinite loop of creative art, solace and inspiration. But only the ones who can comprehend the allusions of their environment are rewarded with this peace and tranquil.

Far from the madding crowd, you get inspired ,

Immune from big cities so loud, you get inspired.

Birds flying at the speed of sound, you get inspired,

Big dreams with feet on the ground, you get inspired.

Inspiration is available all around us, we just have to mold our perception to notice it. The muse can show up in your dreams or when you eat, it can come along in the most awkward times, but its up to you to make the most of it.

You need not leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. You need not even listen, simply wait, just learn to become quiet, and still, and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked. It has no choice; it will roll in ecstasy at your feet

The mountains educate me on stillness, the forests teach me how to be quiet and the cascading rivers show me the benefits of solitude through the path they create for themselves. The environment around me unmasks itself in unique forms every moment, by doing so, it fuels my creativity and adds to my paradigm significantly.

6 cures to the chill

My morning research led me to the diminishing number of Gaelic speakers and the beautiful Isle of Skyes located at the inner Hebrides of Scotland.  I was in admiration of the aesthetic magnificence, that means a lot considering that  I have plenty around the Himalayan valley I dwell in, but I felt a chill after glancing through a few photos. By the afternoon, the chill transferred from my brain to my city. An unexpected downpour bought down the temperature considerably, but the change  was a pleasant one.

As we look forward to the approaching winter, I would like to elaborate on what I will do to use the changing conditions to my advantage. These aren’t medically tested but self tested, so they are comparatively safer.

1. Long runs will lead to strong lungs

This is true for any kind of cardiovascular exercise all throughout the year but with the winters running provides the added incentive of nullifying the cold temperatures. Nothing is better than a cold morning run to kill the laziness that keeps you hooked to your bed.

2. Feel the power with a cold water shower

Its a myth originating from someone unwilling to come of their comfort zone that, one shouldn’t take a cold water shower in winter. On the contrary a cold water shower is the best thing that one can do to himself as it helps in blood circulation making one think and feel better throughout the day.

3. Test your will go hiking on a hill

The perfect natural adventure awaits you if you are willing to take the first few steps towards the nearest mountain or hill range. The winter hike will help season your lungs better. They will improve on their oxygen absorbing abilities when you hike up a hill, where the air is thinner ( has lesser oxygen).

4. Be prepared for the frigid fight add nuts and resins to your diet

As most of us know prevention scores over cure, so make sure that you spend some time and money on stacking up readily available resins and nuts, and not leaving the house without stuffing a few in your mouth and many in your pockets. The essential fats in these will protect you against the cold by keeping you warm and enhancing your resistance.

5. If you feel unwell just make some chicken soup, it will definitely help you recoup

Everyone has there own chicken soup recipe, mine involves some chicken a lot of black pepper, ginger, garlic, some chilly and some Himalayan herbs. The spices help wash away the mucus from the throat and provide resistance against the virus. The soup should be consumed as soon as one recognizes symptoms suggesting the imbalance which include an itchy throat, running nose and a mild body ache.

6. If it all gets too byzantine just guzzle on some red wine

At times the weather outside is too detrimental, in such cases sitting by the fireplace, listening to some music and guzzling on some hot chocolate or wine is the best alternative. I would include a book into this setup but you can replace them with friends.

As mentioned in an earlier post Superimposing negative habits with positive ones is the basis for inculcating new changes into our identities. Thought condition can only take place if our grievous habits are over written by salubrious ones. If we cannot get out of our comfort zones it will be impossible for us to make any kind of changes to ourselves. Lets not waste time complaining that we cant and make necessary changes in ourselves to attain what presently appears unachievable.

Spontaneous neural emmisions

The usual end of day upswing with the creative juices overflowing onto my keyboard….A combination of good reading, a crazy workout regimen and some musical garnishing from across the world sets the tone for the most beautiful slumber that seldom happens, so I type instead.

The 9 dedicated hours bartered for better bread and the above average attention span that compulsively notices more than the obvious, are the other, less eventful, daily bits in the life of this inchoate polymath. Far away from the ostentatious big city lights, the heavenly Himalayas offer a conducive platform to galvanize me to what I am really capable of being.

With knowledge feeding the mind, exercise and proper nutrition feeding the body and a mix of family, the surrounding sanctity and music feeding the soul, the decision to come back home has done justice to life’s essential triad. Initially, I resented how the lack of opportunities in this town was impeding my gregarious nature, but it took time to recognize the underlying benefits. The serenity of this place gradually disseminates into peoples identities, providing their garrulous and erratic personalities with a much needed solidarity. I was lucky to have gotten through my initial resentment to reap the fruits of my patience.

It’s close to midnight

Something evil’s lurkin’in the dark
Under the moonlight
You see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream
But terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze
As horror looks you right between the eyes
You’re paralyzed

‘Cause this is thriller
Thriller at night
And no one’s gonna save you
From the beast about to strike
You know it’s thriller
Thriller at night
You’re fighting for your life
Inside a killer
Thriller tonight, yeah

These lines might be the sub conscious reason behind my insomnia. Anyhow they are salutary nonetheless, as typing is better than snoring any given day. The dedicated 9 hours beckon, compels me to sing a lullaby to the anti slumber devils and sleep after they do. More on universal edification, why Indian politicians are digging deep mining for gold cause a sage dint dream about Gold in a crocodile pit and why Kanye had to hire a stadium to propose Kim, when I make this a perfunctory practice.
